CHARACTER

Reverend Doctor Harry Allen Hall was born on October 28, 1953, in Baltimore Maryland, and is the only son out of nine children of Miss. Annie Virginia Hall [decease, April 2013 at 95 years old].

Reverend Doctor Hall moved to Virginia Beach in 1986, where he met his lovely wife Evelyn S. Scott formerly of Franklin, Virginia.  The Halls have been married since 1994.

The Halls have no children.   God have bestowed His hand upon them and have made their house a refuge for many children and elderly of all ages for the past 26 years.  The ages range from 6 to 83 years old.   The Halls have had (9) individuals lodging at their home over the years.  At this present time, they have two elderly individuals currently living with them, who have been with them for over 18 years.

Mrs. Hall is a Guardian/Conservator [independence] with the Office of the Commissioner of Account, of the Circuit Court of the City of Virginia Beach and is an appointed Notary Public for the Commonwealth -at-Large in the City of Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Reverend Doctor Hall’s call to the ministry started in 2003.   After answering the call, his journey began in November, 2004 at Bethany Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Jake Manley, Sr.  By the divine guidance of the Holy Spirit he was licensed November 20, 2004 and ordained February 27, 2010.  He has been sharing the gospel at Autumn Care Nursing Home for the elderly twice a month since 2010.  This obligation denotes the concern of a good conscience; commandment of charity, out of a pure heart and faith unfeigned.

As a soldier – warring a good warfare with all the amour of God – 66 books and a listening heart to the elders; he has learned that quarrelsome matters do not hold well in blameless conduct.  As a farmer – laboring with a sound mind, giving in to hospitality and understanding that vigilant is a must and he is willing to suffer the many troubles of the human soul with hard work.  As a teacher – he is a student, handling God words rightly in truth.  Studying to show himself approved unto God, turning away from profane and vain babbling.  Desiring to be a vessel of honor and not dishonor – standing on principle of good behavior in the Spirit of Christ and not in the foolishness of mankind.  Willing to purge himself of filthy lucre and not using wrong methods to raise money to increase his own income.  As a servant – of the Lord not striving to be a brawler or desiring the office for the sake of personal gain; but with meekness and gentleness rule with honesty and good report of all mankind.  He declares the complete will of God to anybody.

Philosophy of Ministry

Reverend Doctor Hall’s, Philosophy of Biblical Ministry standards are on these principles:  the Bible is both divine and human.  This is shown when the Lord Jesus who walked down here on earth, and grew weary, sat down at a well; although He was God, He was Man.  He talked with people down here on earth and communicates with them in every day understanding.   The Bible is for men as they are.  It’s a corridor between two eternities: down here on earth which show the walk of Christ our God; His invisible steps echo through the Old Testament, but we meet Him face to face in the throne room of the New Testament; and that is through the blood of Christ alone, that I have found forgiveness for sins and life eternal.

The Old Testament is summed up in the words of the Father promises.  The New Testament is summed up in the action of Jesus.  The summary of the whole Bible is that Jesus is the Christ, God in the flesh.   If I were asked today if I had just one thing to suggest that would be conclusive proof that the Bible is the Word of God, I would suggest fulfilled prophecy and transformed lives.  The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners and the happiness of believers.  Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable.

SKILLS

I have study twenty-three years of biblical exegesis of “Thru the Bible with J. Vernon McGee” show hard-and-fast rules to govern such decisions in general principles of effective organization and administration.  This motivates me to promote closer relations among church members and groups within the whole body of Christ.   It also promotes me to understand and combine guidance in witnessing and serving within and outside the fellowship of Christ.  Some key elements are: worship, environmental issues, social justices, which support the aspirations of people struggling, opportunities for education, and higher living standards.

SPIRITUAL GIFTS

Reverend Doctor Hall’s spiritual gifts are within the ability for teaching, balanced judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly with persuasion of divine love of scriptures.  That springs from a deepened experience of the profound concern for people and a sensitivity to their feelings.  In humility – he does not look to his own interest but to the interests of other.  In living – he does not please himself but the pleasure of his neighbors for the building up of good relationships.  He is: (1) An example of accepting one another, in generosity self-giving.  (2) His character is an example of how we should behave when we suffer for doing well, and (3) show life of love through mature Christian character and conduct.

DOCTRINE

My doctrinal precepts are embedded with the Holy Spirit, with an understanding in walking in his anointing truth and not in human being lies.  “Studying to shew [myself] approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  In standing on the principles of only being blessed in God and learning to wait on him.  For with me “faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Heb. 11:1, KJV).   And seating with the enjoyment of prayer, supplication with thanksgiving; “affirm constantly that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.”  Focusing of today’s church programs must be on provides information, encouragement, and channels through the lordship of Christ that impact acknowledgment in family, community, nation matters.  The key concern must be on racial tension, poverty, education, drug and alcohol abuse, abortion, environmental issues.  Christian liberties are also characteristic of the problems which the Christian citizen faces.  Our problems are so numerous and so complex that they overwhelm us. The Christian community must and needs to make its voice heard in the public square with understanding largely conditioned by the cultural values and standing on a biblical viewpoint.  It is therefore necessary to study issues of our daily critical needs from a Christian perspective.  My doctrine basis come for John 7:17 – it is from a scriptural standpoint; looking to touch mankind love in God unconditional way, it is to glorify God teaching and produces peace among men.

Leadership Style

Reverend Doctor Hall’s goals are, to quote Paul’s words “to proclaim… the whole will of God” (Acts 20:27), properly feeding the congregation a balanced diet of direction and discipline.   Looking for and sharing the responsibility of the Holy Spirit gifts among the congregation with the wholeness of his heart; developing and exercising the abilities of personal gifts.  Looking at the young people in the congregation seeking wiser ways to communicated with them; in outreach affairs; tendency to assign spiritual duties as youth deacons and temporal concerns to as youth trustees and missionary (they are our future).   Helping them to serve and understand spiritual insight, trustworthiness in worship services and general care for the sick and needy in the church is important.  Getting adults/young people to lead worship service and fellowship – and not just be a part of the congregation.  Decision making – As Pastor I will conference with the adults/young people to discern the mind of Christ or deferring answers when asked for opinions or guidance’s, in order to pray and think the matter over.  The adults/young people will be given  exportation to convey their vision, that may help to remove the old ineffective way and see the  new projects thought in exhaustive detail so that many may express such conviction within the congregation willingness to united in wanting to convey that vision into action.   Show a servant’s heart that will help people appreciate others work worthiness and realize that we are not above any job.  By showing and taking the initiative as a leader, with love and understanding guided by faith.
